Climate
Zululand is your ideal holiday destination, especially during the winter season from March / April when the temperature varies between 11 C at night to approximately 30 C during the day.
Money Matters
Banking hours are from Monday to Friday 09h00 to 15h30 and Saturday 08h30 to 11h00. automated teller machines ( ATM ) operate 24 hours and can be found in town.
Currency
The currency in South Africa is the Rand.
Personal Safety
As in other countries there are a few basic precautions you should take to ensure that your stay is pleasant and safe as possible.
- Avoid ostentatious displays of expensive jewelry, cameras and other valuables.
- It is not advisable to carry large sums of money around.
- At night, stay clear of dark, isolated areas. Explore in groups and stick to well lit, busy areas.
- Keep certified copies of legal documents on you instead of the originals.
- When driving keep all doors locked and windows closed. Never pick up strangers. Ask a policeman or traffic officer for directions if lost. Lock all valuables in the boot.

KOSI BAY CABINS is situated in Northern Kwazulu Natal, in the St. Lucia wetlands - one of South Africa's world heritage sites. Amidst the natural beauty of the bush and the untouched, pristine beaches we offer a wide range of activites for our guests to fully experience what the area has to offer, while enjoying at our lodge the hospitality usually only reserved for friends.

OUR CHALETS With our wooden self-catering chalets we have embraced the building styles of the local Tonga people to create a look and feel that stays true to the area.
We have single bedroom cabins, 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom units available sleeping up to 8 people.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS The lodge itself can be accessed in a normal sedan, however, one would require a 4x2 or a 4x4 vehicle to experience the beaches and various other places of intrest. We offer excursions to all these if you do not have a 4x2 or 4x4 vehicle. |

OTHER OFFERINGS Our lodge boasts with a full bar and restaurant, serving three meals a day as well as picnic and snacks for excursions. We also have a swimming pool for use by our guests.
